Vera graduated from the University of Evora in 2003 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. After working in Portugal for a few years in a first opinion practice, she moved to the UK to pursue her goal of becoming an ECVN Specialist in Neurosurgery. Vera joined the Dovecote Veterinary Hospital team in November 2024, shortly after completing her Neurological Residency at DWR Veterinary Specialists. Vera’s particular areas of interest are vascular diseases of the central nervous system and neuromuscular diseases.
Outside of work, Vera likes to swim, travel and spend time with her cat, Balloo.
