Sergio qualified from the University of Porto, Portugal in 2011. Having become passionate about neurology whilst an undergraduate, he then undertook rotating and neurology internships as well as working in first opinion practice. In 2017 he started his residency in neurology and neurosurgery at Dovecote Veterinary Hospital and became a European Specialist in 2021.
Sergio is interested in all aspects of this incredible area of knowledge, being particularly keen on neuroimaging, neurosurgery and clinical research. Sergio has also completed a MRes at the University of Nottingham on degenerative lumbosacral stenosis in 2022.
