After being made redundant from her previous role as a loss prevention controller, Penny decided to follow her dream of working with animals. She went back to college to gain qualifications in both dog grooming and microchipping and then set up her own dog grooming salon locally. In 2014, Penny joined the team at Dovecote Veterinary Hospital as a part-time receptionist and later went onto become a health and safety coordinator.
Away from work she lives with her partner and their Golden Retrievers, Tilly & Tori. Together they enjoy hikes in the countryside and holidays on the beach.
